It's odd. I've only ever drank tea to soothe my voice, for I am a singer and any kind of tea is perfect to warm the vocal chords before or after a solid period of practice or a performance. Recently, I have tried to substitute coffee with tea whenever possible. Not only does tea have less caffeine, but it comes in countless varieties. Tazo Tea, in particular, is a brand that I love because the tea is stronger and more true to the flavor than other brands are. My choices are Citron, Mango, Green Ginger, Mambo and African Red Bush. I get them as iced tea in the summer time, and as a plain cup o' tea or a tea latte in the Siberian winter. Tazo Tea was founded in 1994 by Stephen Lee and Tom Mesher and then purchased by Starbucks in 1999 for $8.1 million. My friend Laura will vouch for me that this tea is exquisite, being the astounding Starbucks barista she is.

Allison Scarpulla is a photographer who's shots are eerie and haunting. These feelings have been dominating my life over the past few weeks. She uses film correctly. It's fantastic. God, these remind me of those still shots from some old movies I've seen that teach children not to do bad things or they will be taken away by cloaked monsters. Weird.
