Cervecería Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma

Greetings everyone. My life over the past few days has been erratic, tense, tireless, yet somehow fantastic. The prospects of graduating in a few months seems to shed light on everything I have been through over the past four years; however, the light is not yellow like you see in those movies, outlining the perimeter of a dream sequence. My light is dirt, chocolate ice cream brown. Though I have lived through so many astonishing times in senior high (that has an odd ring to it), my time here has been a learning experience. I've learned about competition, aggression, fakeness, drama, assholes, bitches, skanks, name-droppers, posers and everything in between. Not everything about high school has been good like its portrayed in movies and on television, and I'm sure that's the case with every other senior, and if it's not, they're lying, or they slept their way to the top.

I was on the National Geographic website when I found some awe inspiring photographs of animals and their habitats. Every single one of these photographs made me stop and ask myself why I have spent my entire life in one small town when there are so many better places I could be seeing, and things I could be doing. I have been thinking about studying abroad and right now, Greece is my dream country to visit. The food, scenery and people are magnificent and are very welcoming of foreigners, but that's a story for another day. Here are the shots, and be amazed at the beauty held in these animals and their environments; rarely seen by mortal eyes.

To see that light through the huge iceberg, it's like living in another world for them down there.

Camels don't just spit.

A ring with a stone that perfectly matches this gecko's eye would be brilliant.

Elephants have always been one of my favorite animals. They're the wisest, and most knowledgeable.

This tree frog is its own light source under the big, black sky. The color is just magnificent and the Christmas lights on the tree make this photograph even more surreal.

The friendlier side of bears. This gives reason to why they are a novelty stuffed animal to tykes.

Oh the irony, this bird must think it's an ostrich . . . please tell me you got that.

I got a request to do a list of favorites; anything from music to movies to books to food. The options are limitless so I am just sticking with a few.

Favorite television show: EASILY Southpark

Favorite book: Screams from the Balcony, by Charles Bukowski

Favorite artist: The Strokes

Favorite store: This is a hard one because I shop anywhere I find something I like, but I would have to say this small shop that I went to twice in SoHo. It's called Exquisite Costume and I spent everything I had in my wallet both times I went.

Favorite food: GRAPE LEAVES AND FETA CHEESE

Favorite drink: I work at a place that sells coffee so I drink a lot of that, but I am sick of it, so I'd have to say Coke . . . yeah I know.

Essential piece of jewelry: I have this ring that I made from a broken bracelet that belonged to my mother. I wear it on my index or middle finger every single day.

Most loved icon: Neil Young, I wish I was his friend.

What would you most want to learn to do? I want to learn how to whistle. It is something that every person can do, that I cannot and it bothers me so fucking much.

What is one item you would wish for if the price and convenience did not matter? I would buy a really expensive bracelet and ring that I have been wanting for many many years now, and an all expenses paid vacation to travel the world with my father, who has not had the chance to see as much of the world as he would have liked.

I'm charged up . . . electricity.
