I have developed this new craze for a little thing called Etsy. This is a website that gives the general population the ability to buy and sell their handmade creations, vintage finds, and crafts. The handmade items range from jewelry, to art, to photography, to clothing to bath&body products to edibles. The Etsy community spans the globe, and buyers and sellers come from over 150 countries. The company was founded by Rob Kalin, Chris Maguire, Haim Schoppik, and Jared Tarbell in June of 2005. Though I do not sell anything, I love looking through the website at various things people have made and gawk at how beautiful so many things are. Many of the items are fairly cheap, but there are some expensive finds, as there are anywhere you shop. It takes quite a bit of searching through the pages and pages of items to find things I like; however, once I do find something, the searching is well worth it. My undying love for jewelry has brought me two designers who I adore, Blue Bayer Designs and Moon Raven Designs. This community has something alluring for every kind of person.
