I've always thought that my father is one of the oddest, most ridiculous, semi coolest - but not really, parents around. Turns out other peoples parents are just as . . . interesting . . . as I think my pop is. From his big black rimmed glasses to his rather provocative moustache, he is one of a kind, and I love him dearly.

This website entitled, My Parents Were Awesome, shows how cool, and uncool, peoples parents were years ago, when the times were different. Here are some favorites of mine, and by favorites, I mean some of the most avant-garde photographs of parents I have seen.

This next website makes me thankful that my father never wears short shorts. Correction. This website makes me thankful that I've never seen my father in short shorts. It is called Dad's in Short Shorts, and it is just that; a collection of fathers who enjoy showing off their tight bods:

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I have definitely had some unusual pictures taken of me throughout my entire life. Most of them have been of me in either a sailor costume or a puffy dress posing with inanimate objects at Sears. Never have I had to pose with my entire family, but if I ever did, I would not be surprised if I ended up with something like these tragic photos from Awkward Family Photos:
